Job Description:
On behalf of our client, a commercial property and casualty insurance, reinsurance and specialty lines underwriter we are seeking applicants for the role of Vice President, Healthcare.

Responsibilities include:

Work with senior management with respect to strategic and financial planning, budgeting, and monthly projections and reporting
Comply with underwriting guidelines, systems and procedures
Manage and develop junior staff
Serve as a referral contract for Bermuda underwriting staff as necessary
Conduct general underwriting functions to include underwriting submissions review, pricing analysis, setting of terms and conditions, and quote binder, invoice authorizations
Liaise with Actuarial Department to price specific accounts when appropriate
Marketing responsibilities include-client/broker meetings, contract senior broker management regularly to discuss production, service and other topics relative to division operations
Attend important industry conferences and seminars

Education, Skills and Experience

University Degree
Minimum of 10 years experience in the Insurance Industry with at least 7 years in healthcare specifically
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience to include profit and loss responsibilities
Specialized course in risk management and insurance-CPCU designation, RPLU etc.
Extensive contacts within the Healthcare Industry –clients, brokers, etc
Experience dealing with senior brokers and risk managers
Strong marketing, negotiating, and presentation skills
